At the end of the junior year, all Florida Southern College students are eligible to be considered for early admission to the MBA program.
 

At no time in history has there been more demand for professionals who possess excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and business-analytical skills. The Master of Business Administration program focuses on all these competencies. At the end of the junior year, ³Ô¹ÏÍø students are eligible to be considered for early admission to the MBA program. This opportunity will allow candidates to begin graduate coursework immediately and save significant investment and time earning this prestigious degree.

Admitted undergraduate students will be allowed to complete a maximum of 9 credit hours of graduate work. These credits will count toward their undergraduate and MBA degree requirements.

I encourage students to tackle problems creatively, which helps them learn to think outside conventional boundaries and to seek the deeper meaning of concepts These skills have been found to be important for business innovation as well as managerial success.

  • Must have 93+ undergraduate credit hours completed at the start of the program.
  • GPA of 3.00+ or higher*
  • Acceptable GRE/GMAT equivalent score**
  • Students are encouraged to apply for admission during their junior year.

  • Personal statement that reflects your interest in our MBA program.
    • The essay should not exceed 2000 words, and should explain how your interest in pursuing an MBA degree at ³Ô¹ÏÍø relates to your professional/career goals. Your essay should also describe any experiences that have prepared you for success in our program.
  • MBA Director Approval
* School of Business majors must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

* This is a pass/fail, self-paced course that focuses on accounting, finance, economics and statistics to equip students with an overview of fundamental background knowledge and skill-sets essential for success in the FSC MBA program and career.
** Course has the prerequisite requirement of BUS 6010 Graduate Business Foundations.

Program Costs

Admitted undergraduate students will be allowed to complete a maximum of 9 credit hours of graduate work. These credits will count toward their undergraduate and MBA degree requirements. Any MBA courses attempted in the fall or spring semesters before receiving the undergraduate degree will be charged at the traditional undergraduate full-time tuition rate. Any taken in a summer semester before receiving the undergraduate degree will be charged at the traditional undergraduate summer tuition rate. Graduate courses taken after the student receives their undergraduate degree will be billed at the current MBA per credit hour rate.

Are Online courses asynchronous?

Yes. Assignments are due weekly and there is no requirement to login at specific time frames.

At what time do Hybrid courses meet?

Weekday Hybrid courses meet from 6:00 PM to 8:45 PM.
Saturday Hybrid courses meet on three different time blocks: 9:00 to 11:45 AM, 12:45 to 3:30 PM, and 3:45 to 6:30 PM.

Can I change delivery methods at any point of the program?

Yes. Our Flex Saturday-hybrid delivery allows you to take both Saturday-hybrid and Online courses. If you started with our fully Online delivery, you are able to switch to our Flex Saturday-hybrid delivery.

How many classes can I take each 7-week term?

We recommend students take one course each term, but students can take up to two courses per term if they want an accelerated progression. We encourage you to reach out to us to discuss your preferred timeline.

Can the GRE/GMAT requirement be waived?

To be considered for a GRE/GMAT waiver, you must hold a 3.00+ cumulative GPA or higher and meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Applicant is a graduate of an AACSB-accredited business school with a 3.25+ cumulative GPA
  2. Applicant is a graduate of ³Ô¹ÏÍø with a 3.25+ cumulative GPA
  3. Applicant is a graduate of Florida Polytechnic University with a 3.25+ cumulative GPA
  4. Applicant is a graduate of a regionally accredited institution with a 3.30+ cumulative GPA
  5. Applicant currently holds a master’s or terminal degree (JD, MD, PhD, etc.)
  6. Applicant currently holds an active CPA license
  7. Applicant is a lifetime Beta Gamma Sigma member
  8. Applicant has a minimum of 3 years of qualifying managerial experience
