Are You Ready to Graduate?
Florida Southern holds two graduation ceremonies each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Summer and fall graduates both participate in the Fall Commencement. Commencement instructions are distributed approximately two months prior to graduation.

Graduation Check
Graduation checks are for undergraduate students with 60 or more earned hours. If you have less than 60 earned hours and schedule a graduation check, it will be cancelled. Graduation checks are scheduled a minimum of a week in advance. Please select the date and time of your choosing and fill in all applicable details.
Please call our office at your scheduled time and we will direct you with the staff member conducting your graduation check.
Please be sure to have your computer with you at the time of your appointment. We will be sending electronic copies of your check sheets to discuss.

Graduate and Doctoral students do not need to schedule a grad check.

Graduation Application
You must complete an Application for Graduation and submit it to the registrar’s office the semester prior to your final semester. The Graduation Application may be filled out online through the FSC Portal.
There is a graduation fee of $60.00 paid directly on the Portal. This covers academic costs associated with commencement, including preparation of diplomas. This fee does not cover the purchase of caps and gowns, which are purchased directly from the bookstore.

Graduating in the fall? Your application must be received by April 15.
Graduating in the spring? Your application must be received by December 15.
Graduating in the summer? Your application must be received by March 15.

Review the Commencement Handbook
All graduating undergraduate seniors are expected to attend commencement. There is no rehearsal for either commencement.
