James Beck, MFA
Associate Professor of Theatre Arts
Department Chair
My approach to learning is one of sharing ideas and making those ideas inspire curiosity and a need to know more. I attempt to create an environment in which I can share ideas with students, and forge connections between them and the material. I ask students to share in the learning process through relating their own experiences and ideas. For learning to be effective, the student needs to define its relevance to her.
