Biography

Dr. Nachtigal earned his Ph.D. in Sport Administration with a concentration in Strategic Management and Policy from the University of New Mexico. He also holds an MBA from Colorado Technical University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Nebraska. His research interests include legal aspects of sport and recreation, marketing, and sport analytics. Dr. Nachtigal has served as a youth, club, high school, and college softball coach, and as a high school baseball and tennis coach. He spent a decade working in information technology for the financial services industry before pursuing his doctorate. Along with his work at FSC, Dr. Nachtigal works part-time in data operations for Major League Baseball.

Interests

I'm a fan of most sports. I also enjoy hiking, travel, and home improvement projects (so it seems).
