Bachelor of Secondary Social Studies Education from Niagara University;
Masters in Literacy from Niagara University
What do you enjoy most about working at Florida Southern?
I love working with families and guiding students through their college decision journey. It is exciting to see students progress from applying to starting on campus. Plus, I love how amazingly beautiful the Florida Southern campus is! Being right on Lake Hollingsworth, watching the water skiers, and partaking in the amazing community makes it feel like home every day.
Describe your idea of a perfect Saturday in Lakeland.
A perfect weekend in Lakeland would include taking my Chihuahua, Bear, for morning strolls around Lake Hollingsworth and then lunch at one of the many restaurants located in Lakeside Village.
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
I really enjoy working out in the Wellness Center while watching the action on the lake.
What’s your favorite restaurant off-campus?
Starbucks on Beacon Road near campus, Concord Coffee, and Burger 21 for awesome Gluten-Free burgers.
What about hobbies or outside interests?
I love to play golf and spend a lot of time doing community service in Lakeland with my church. I am a big sports fan and I love to spend weekends watching anything from college football to professional baseball. (Go Rays!)
Other surprising facts?
I also taught for two years in Florida and was the 2010 high school reading teacher of the year in Osceola county.
